Today was the first time in a long time that I was not scared to take a shower. The bathtub in my apartment is very slick and when taking a shower I have been afraid of slipping and breaking something. Even when I applied those little stickers I feared because those slipped. I got a rubber mat with suction cups on the bottom and it stayed in place and I got my shower without fear.

I spent about an hour and a half talking with a new Libertarian this morning. For those who do not know, or have forgotten since I don’t talk about it much, I am an officer in the County Libertarian Party. I routinely talk to the Pima County Board of Supervisors about what they are doing Running around wrong and I have my own YouTube channel where I talk about Libertarian issues. I just don’t mention it here much.

Running around after that meeting too a lot of time because of the bus system. Plus, part of the time spent was having lunch away from home because I could feel hypoglycemia coming on. I did not want to eat out, that gets expensive, but I like the idea of passing out on the street even less. The bus system in Tucson is not all that good, although the Transit Authority says that they are adding buses in order to improve service. I still wish I had never sold my car. Not the junker I had but the VW Rabbit I had long ago. It was a very thrifty car, 58 MPG of Diesel fuel but it had three very bad aspects. First, the roof was too low for me and my head pressed into the roof of the cockpit and second, while it got great mileage it had a weak engine. The least uphill meant it lost power, a lot of power. The third was it would not start in winter, which is why I got rid of it. I was stationed in upstate New York and it took a push start to get me going when the temperature was in the least bit cold. Here in Tucson that wasn’t bad, the weather is usually warm enough and there aren’t that many hills. But I would have had to keep it for another year while fighting the cold weather in upstate New York. Still, a totally paid off car that did not cost a lot to keep would be nice.
